This miniature variant of Eleocharis acicularis(Mini Needle Cress, Eleocharis acicularis "Mini") has, in contrast to Eleocharis pusilla, straight upward stalks. With a growth height of 2-6 cm it also remains very low and therefore fits perfectly into the foreground of nano aquariums and aquascapes. Eleocharis acucularis is found all over the world.
This pretty grass plant is uncomplicated and undemanding and can be kept in the aquarium with little effort. After planting, the culms should be cut back to 2 cm - this makes it easier for the plant to acclimate and encourages it to form new culms.
The needle cress forms runners with which it soon colonizes larger areas. If you want to colonize more areas with needle cress, you simply cut off daughter plants together with runners and plant them again.
This needle cress comes from the laboratory. As an InVitro plant, it is guaranteed free of unwanted co-inhabitants and pesticides. Simply wash off the nutrient gel and plant - done!
