Spiky moss Taxiphyllum sp. is grown in the laboratory and therefore free of algae and parasites, snails and pollutants. You do not need to pre-water it, it is enough to rinse off the nutrient gel. Then you can use the moss immediately in the aquarium.
Spiky Moss is also known as Peacock Moss. This is the same moss, although the species has not yet been determined. It resembles Christmas moss in growth, but is larger and even more vigorous. It grows very densely, its well-branched triangular shaped shoots are flattened.
The extremely attractive Spiky Moss is ideal for greening decorative materials such as root wood or stones. However, Spiky Moss does not grow well on the substrate, so you will need to cut it into shape and re-tieit from time to time.
