Activated carbon sticks

Clean and "healthy" aquarium water is crucial for the well-being and vitality of the aquarium fish. Activated carbon sticks make a great contribution to maintaining this quality. Especially metabolic products, but also food residues and dead plant parts deteriorate it visibly. Also after medication treatments the water should be treated. Our activated carbon sticks are therefore ideal for use in aquarium filters to quickly restore the water environment.

Filters are the engine of every aquarium and demonstrate what happens in the habitat of the fish by the natural flow of the water: Excretory products are carried away, fresh water flows in and brings new oxygen with it. So by using different media, the aquarium filter can be prepared to recycle the aquarium water depending on the situation.

Put the activated carbon sticks in a filter bag or a net for filter media, such as we carry in our store, and place it in the filter. If possible, select a location with good flow so that the carbon can work efficiently. In doing so, it not only retains drug loads, but also removes odor-forming parameters, as well as organic contaminants that cause turbidity.

The activated carbon sticks have a certain absorption capacity and should be replaced afterwards so that they do not release the substances once they have been bound. Rinsing is therefore not recommended. Replace the activated carbon as soon as you notice a change in the water situation and measure your parameters regularly during use.
