ADA - Aqua Soil - Amazonia Ver.2

ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 is based on the well-known ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia II, which is somewhat lower in nutrients and therefore does not cause turbidity in the aquarium water during the run-in period. However, the Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 comes with the Amazonia Supplement newly developed by Aqua Design Amano. This pelletized supplement can be used to specifically fertilizethe substrate for more nutrient-hungry plants.

The Amazonia Supplement comes in a special bag; the 9-liter pack contains 50 ml, the 3-liter pack Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 contains 16 ml. The supplement gives the plants particularly good starting conditions. Without the supplement, this Aqua Soil Amazonia behaves exactly like the well-known Aqua Soil Amazonia II.

The soil structure with the supplement is very simple. If not quite so nutrient-hungry plants are planned, the supplement in combination with the Soil is sufficient. First, the entire bag of Amazonia Supplement is placed on the glass pane of the aquarium and then the Aqua Soil Amazonia is carefully added. If a better nutrient supply is desired, ADA Power Sand is added to the tank as the bottom layer, which is then sprinkled with the appropriate substrate supplements. Then add the Supplement Pellets on top and fill in the Aqua Soil Amazonia.

The beautiful dark color of this nutrient-rich active soil is due to the natural black soil used here. Aqua Design Amano's ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 is rich in humic substances and natural colloids, which make the aquarium water crystal clear because they bind suspended matter and turbidity to themselves - just like the soil in the natural tropical biotopes in South America. ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 is also suitable for use with harder tap water.

Aqua Design Amano's active Aqua Soil lowers the pH value to a range of 5.5 to 6.5 and stabilizes this important water value. A slightly acidic soil environment is optimal for the vast majority of aquarium plants in aquascapes and planted aquariums. The use of ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 is also optimal for shrimp keeping and the care of fish from soft water biotopes .

ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia Ver.2 is single fired and holds its shape and density very well. With a medium grain size of 2-5 mm, this Aqua Soil is optimal for plant growth in aquascaping - thanks to the good water circulation in the substrate, the plant roots are supplied with everything necessary for vigorous root growth. The important filter bacteria can also settle perfectly with this soil structure in the aquascape.
