ADA - Garden Mat - foam pad

To set up the ADA Cube Garden aquarium, you need the ADA Garden Mat from Aqua Design Amano as an aquarium base. This thick black mat protects the aquarium from stresses that can be caused by small irregularities in the base or particles such as grains of sand under the base plate. This effectively prevents glass breakage.

The underlay mat for all Cube Garden aquariums up to 60 cm edge length is 5 mm thick, for all larger Cube Garden aquariums the thickness is 8 mm.
Due to the black color, the aquarium carpet pad from Aqua Design Amano is not visually very noticeable and does not distract from the layout in the aquascape. The thin dark layer under the aquarium almost acts as an underlining of the scape.

In addition, the foam mat insulates the aquarium against cold from below. This insulating effect is very useful in addition to protection against broken glass, because many aquatic plants do not like cold feet in the root area at all.
