The interior of the artificial rock is hollowed out and is therefore ideal as a hiding place and retreat for fish and invertebrates. But also as a planter it makes a great figure in the aquarium. Its light weight also allows easy handling. The rock can also be planted with small mosses or rhizome plants. Many useful bacteria will soon settle here, which dwarf shrimps in particular like to graze on.
Rinse the Arizona Rock before first use to remove abrasion caused by transport. Every now and then you should also lift it out of the water and rub it a bit under clear water. Vacuum off any mulm that has formed on the substrate to prevent build-up of sludge in the aquarium.
