The Asian dayflower resembles a type of bamboo rather than its apparent grass form. It comes from Asia where it often grows in rice fields. The growth is upright but the plant branches readily after being cut back.
The leaf is light green, about 1cm wide and 3-5cm long. With the addition of CO2 and strong light, the stems get reddish shoot tips.
Due to the very fast growth, the top shoot needs to be pruned continuously and can be replanted afterwards. This way you can create a nice group of plants.
