Blue Florida Crayfish - Procambarus alleni - 1-2 cm - DNZ
Blue Florida crayfish are popular and relatively easy to keep aquarium crayfish. They are hardy and adaptable, and beginners are well served by a Procambarus alleni. The young animals grow up relatively fast. They need plenty of hiding places in addition to a good crayfish food, especially if kept in a small group. They are very cannibalistic, single keeping is therefore preferable. In nature, crayfish are also solitary animals, so keeping them alone is not a problem. - Garnelio
Description

Our German offspring (DNZ) of Procambarus alleni, the blue Florida crayfish, are between 1 and 2 cm long. At this size it is not yet possible to distinguish the sexes. Since juvenile crayfish are highly cannibalistic, we recommend keeping a small group only in a very well structured aquarium with plenty of hiding places, or keeping them individually.

Please note that Blue Florida Crayfish can potentially transmit crayfish plague and therefore must never be in contact with crayfish from other parts of the world - special care must be taken that neither crayfish nor water get into natural native waters.

In our description of the "Blue Florida Crayfish" we go into detail about the specifics of keeping and breeding this beautiful and very popular crayfish species.

Our food recommendation: Freshwater crayfish have a very varied diet in the wild. The Natureholic Crayfish Feed Sticks contain in a biologically balanced form only those ingredients that these crayfish in this or similar form to their natural food spectrum. This naturally supports and promotes moulting, growth and reproduction. Due to their protein content they are ideally suited for omnivorous crayfish of the genera Procambarus, Cambarus, Cambarellus, Astacus and the Cherax crayfish from Australia, which are basically omnivores that like to eat animal as well as vegetable food. The crayfish of the genus Cherax from Papua also like to eat a portion of animal food when they are young, but later they switch mainly to plant food.

Our plant recommendation: Use for planting NatureHolic InVitros. These are free of snails, planarians and other unwanted co-inhabitants. Also free of algae spores, bacteria and fungi.

Expert Tip: We recommend for fish keeping the NatureHolic 3 Phase Liquid. The care set offers the best all-round protection for your animals. It ensures optimal conditions for successful breeding and keeping.

Hallo,

DNZ steht für deutsch Nachzucht.

Question: "Hallo, Ich würde mir gerne 2 blaue Florida Krebse kaufen. Mit welchen Krabben vertragen Sie sich eigentlich? Bzw. Welche Tiere kann man überhaupt dazutun? LG"

Hallo Hamza, vielen Dank fuer deine Frage! Die Krebse jagen Fische und streiten mit anderen Wirbellosen. Vergesellschaftung ist schwierig und nur in grossen Becken mit flinken Fischen moeglich.

Question: "Habe ein 125 Liter Becken. Darin sind aktuell ein paar Honigguramis und Guppies. Vertragen sich diese miteinander?"

Hallo Tim, vielen Dank für deine Frage! Nein, Krebse können nicht mit langflossigen Fischen gepflegt werden. Auch Fadenfische sind sehr schlecht geeignet.
