A decorative foreground plant is Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. in its natural habitat it colonizes the banks of rivers and swamps up to an altitude of over 1,000 m. Its grass-like character is similar to Helanthium tenellum, therefore it is sometimes called "false Tenellus". It is easy to cultivate in the aquarium, prefers cooler water and grows quite slowly, regardless of whether it is soft or hard water. Vigorous pruning, like for a lawn, promotes compact growth. It needs plenty of light.

Für mein Nano-Becken habe ich zwei dieser Pflanzen gekauft. Verpackung und Versand wie immer einwandfrei. Die Pflanzen sind gut gewachsen, keine braunen Stängel, gut gewurzelt. Der Topf ließ sich gut teilen. Das tendenziell hellere grün kontrastiert hübsch mit den anderen Pflanzen in meinem Scape. Die Garnelen und Otocinclusse freuen sich über diese neue Addition.
