from over 3,000 reviews "Among the Cryptocorynes, the dwarf water lily is the smallest of all species and therefore does great, especially in the nanoaquarium. Cryptocoryne parva, as the dwarf water lily is scientifically called, actually comes from Sri Lanka and is found mainly on shores and in shallow water zones. It can be cultivated both in the aquarium, but also in the terrarium or paludarium and reaches a height of 10 cm in the land form and remains under water with up to 5 cm rather somewhat smaller.
In the aquarium, the dwarf water carnation spreads via underground runners and forms lawns. It can also be propagated via daughter plants or rhizome division. However, the growth is considered rather slow. However, it can also be cultivated as a bush if the plant is trimmed accordingly. A good fertilization and CO2 are advantageous in the care, also a medium light intensity would be recommended. In the paludarium it forms small inflorescences with purple bracts.
This Cryptocoryne was grown InVitro , therefore it is free of planarians, snails and algae and will not bring algae or other disease causing germs. Rinse the nutrient substrate before planting and then place the individual shoots in the substrate with some distance between them. Because no pesticides or pesticides were used for cultivation, it can also be immediately placed in the shrimp aquarium.
Our recommendation: For a magnificent plant growth we recommend the use of the NatureHolic fertilizer series and for new set up the Premium Nutrient Substrate NatureHolic GroundBooster.
