There is some confusion about the name of this plant. It was previously incorrectly called Cryptocoryne nevillii, but this is a species that has never been used in aquariums. As with many other Cryptocorynes, not much happens for the first month after planting, but then the plant begins to grow and readily develops many runners that form a dense group. It grows 7-20 cm tall and forms rosettes 7-15 cm wide.
