With the Dennerle Nano Shrimp Gravel Sulawesi black , you are not only opting for a visually very noble shade in the aquarium, dark shades in particular lead to an increase in the feel-good factor, especially with dwarf shrimps. These will then form magnificent colors and really shine. With its function as the largest biological filter medium , you also offer beneficial and denitrifying bacteria an excellent opportunity to have a positive effect on the water values.

We also recommend the use of a special nutrient substrate, such as our Ground Booster, which, placed under the shrimp gravel, provides excellent service as a long-term fertilizer and optimally supplies your plants through the roots. Thus you achieved a faster growth and the formation of splendid colors. Vigorous plants do not only supply the water with vital oxygen, they also rob algae of their food basis, which is eminently advantageous especially for newly set up aquariums.

The great shrimp gravel Sulawesi black is also hardness-free, CO2 fixed, light-resistant and water neutral and is therefore also perfect for use with a CO2 system. Especially the rounded very small grains with just 0.7-1.2 millimeters allow mussels a great stand and also bottom-dwelling fish with sensitive barbels are thereby protected. Dwarf shrimps can lift the gravel grains and turn them around.

We recommend this substrate setup:
Fill in approx. 2 cm Dennerle NanoDeponitMix Special Nutrient Substrate or another nutrient substrate and then cover with at least 3 cm Dennerle Nano Shrimp Gravel.

Before first use, the gravel should be washed out several times with cold water to remove abrasion caused by transport. By the way, you can find more colors in the store!
