In their natural habitats, snails and shrimps feed on algae, bacterial growths and other microorganisms that settle on all kinds of surfaces. With their radula, the mouth tool with which they can optimally scrape off the growth coverings, snails are just as well equipped for this as shrimps with their fine, rake-like scissor legs and their mouth tools, the mandibles. Our AlgaePlate, made from natural seaweed of controlled origin, perfectly meets their food requirements and is not only nutritious and delicious, but also absolutely harmless in the aquarium. Description

The AlgaePlate algae tablet optimally meets the natural requirements of shrimps and snails for their food, it provides vital nutrients and building materials such as calcium and magnesium, the building material that snails and shrimps need for their house or shell. Furthermore, the AlgaePlate algae table contains natural vitamins A, B and C. Special mention should also be made of the content of natural iodine, which plays an outstanding role in the molting of crustaceans.

The highly digestible proteins contained in AlgaePlate seaweed ensure a good growth rate for all invertebrates. Also in terms of trace elements, AlgaePlate provides all the necessary micronutrients that play an important role in growth, well-being and health.

Racing snails, ramshorn snails, apple snails and staghorn sn ails benefit particularly from AlgaePlate; it can have a very favorable effect on their health and thus on their lifespan. We have tested this many times in Germany's largest snail facility. The algae for the AlgaePlate are harvested by hand and have raw food quality. This is the only way to preserve the quality of all substances! Of course, the harvesting takes place in pollutant-free waters.

Many algae leaves were pressed together from algae waste in a steam pressing process, thereby against important vital substances lost. The recognizable mineral crust on our algae sheets is a sign of quality. We recommend to always have an AlgaePlate in the aquarium, the water quality is not negatively affected. AlgaePlates are also ideal as vacation food, because they hardly pollute the water.

Es handelt sich bei den Algeaplates um ein Naturprodukt ohne Lockstoffe. Dieses braucht Zeit bis es angenommen wird, es verhält sich mit den Algeaplates so ähnlich wie bei dem einsatz von Laub.

Question: "Nach ein paar Tagen hat sich eine weißliche Schicht auf meinen schwarzen Kies gebildet,da wo die Platte lag. Nach absaugen war sie nächsten Tag wieder da. Ist das normal?"

Hallo Peggy, vielen Dank für deine Frage! Hier hast du wahrscheinlich die Platte ein wenig zu lang im Wasser gelassen und es bildet sich jetzt ein Bakterienrasen. Der ist aber völlig ungefährlich und geht mit der Zeit auch von alleine weg.

Question: "Ich habe die Platten erhalten und Lager sie beim Raumtemperatur in der mitgelieferten Tüte. Es bildet sich immer mehr ein weißer Film drauf und sieht aus wie Schimmel. Was ist das? "

Hallo Jennifer, vielen Dank für deine Frage! Es handelt sich nicht um Schimmel, sondern um Salzablagerungen. Dies ist völlig normal und vollkommen ungefährlich.

Question: "Liebes Team von Garnelio! Ich habe mal gelesen, dass Jod für Landeinsiedlerkrebse schädlich sein soll, ich weiß aber nicht, ob dies tatsächlich belegt ist. Sind Ihre Algenplatten auch für diese geeignet bzw. für die Aufzucht der Landeinsiedlerkrebs-Larven, die sich zunächst im Meerwasser entwickeln (Zoe- und Megalopa-Stadium)? Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen!!! Vielen Dank im Voraus!"
