Above all, a functioning microfauna in the aquarium is important, which, among other things, consists of bacteria that break down pollutants. These convert substances that are toxic to fish, such as nitrite and ammonia, into less harmful substances, which in turn act as plant nutrients. Therefore, an aquarium should be well run-in before adding new fish or other animals, so that this biology is stabilized and your new inhabitants feel comfortable.
The NatureHolic Tox Ex Ball supports you excellently in this process and can be used both during the new setup, but also in acute cases of high nitrate, nitrite and phosphate levels. The bacteria on the surface of the Denitrification Ball convert pollutants and thus contribute to a significant water improvement. The ToxEx Ball is also suitable for prophylaxis and can be used in the aquarium as well as in the pond.
Add 1 ToxEx Ball to 100 liters of water, if possible place it in the aquarium filter in a place with a good flow. There it effectively binds and retains concentrations of pollutants. Usually 1 ball is sufficient for 4-6 months. Measure your water values regularly with a meaningful water test to keep an eye on a potential increase of dangerous substances in the water. As soon as nitrate, nitrite or phosphate show an increase, the Tox Ex Ball should be replaced again and the cause of the increased values should be investigated.
