Dragon Wood

The great Dragon Wood provides prehistoric flair in the aquarium and is a pure natural product that does not adversely change the water values. The fine structure with many cracks and edges offers your pets refuge, because the root is also great as a retreat and cave. It can also be planted with small perching plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra or mosses and becomes a great shrimp playground.

Dragon Wood is also ideal for wood-eating catfish, which grate down the fine cellulose and need it for their digestion. The enlarged surface of the Dragon Wood makes it a perfect substrate. Shortly after insertion into the aquarium, biofilms form on it, in which useful cleaning bacteria settle. As they tirelessly break down pollutants, they indirectly contribute to water improvement. Especially shrimps and snails nibble them with devotion.

The Dragon Wood can be super decorated between green aquatic plants and looks extremely authentic and natural. It releases humic acids and tannins into the water, which have a positive effect on the water values and also protect the mucous membranes and gills. From time to time, however, the Dragon Wood should be lifted and the mulm that has formed underneath it removed so that no rotting spots form in the aquarium.

The wood can be resized and lengthened by sawing or nipping it off. It can also be prevented from floating by placing it on a slate.

Expert tip: Use NatureHolic Hardscape Adhesive Set - Wood to bond all types of aquarium roots. The ugly glue spots can be perfectly and inconspicuously hidden with the included wood powder. Made in Germany, the glue does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
