The beautiful light green to gold colored Golden Dwarf Spear Leaf is scientifically called Anubias barteri var. nana "Gold". This is a cultivated form discovered in a nursery and cultivated specifically. The Golden Dwarf Spear Leaf can be beautifully combined with dark green varieties of Anubias nana, but it is also a great eye-catcher on its own. The more light Anubias nana "Gold" has available, the more beautiful its leaves will be. If it stands too dark, it tends to turn green.
Its hard foliage is the reason why Anubias barteri var. nana "Gold" is not damaged by most herbivores. This is a perching plant that is best cultivated on wood or stones. Planting is not advisable, the rootstock may rot in the substrate.
The Gold Anubias is also very uncomplicated in propagation: Simply cut off a piece with two or more leaflets and replant.
The Anubias barteri var. nana "Gold" can also be kept wonderfully on the land part of a humid terrarium or paludarium.
Our recommendation: For a splendid plant growth we recommend the use of the NatureHolic fertilizer series and for new plants the Premium Nutrient Substrate NatureHolic GroundBooster.
Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant glue glue this plant gently and easily on stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stock.
