The filter pumice 5-15 mm in the 5 liter unit is ideal as a biological filter medium for aquariums and ponds. The pumice stones are of volcanic origin and do not harden the water. The different sizes also ensure a better reduction of pollutants in the aquarium water. This way you support water health to the maximum and promote the well-being of your pets.

The huge enlarged surface of the porous and very light filter pumice stones are excellent for the settlement and multiplication of beneficial purifying bacteria. Their denitrifying activities in particular contribute to the breakdown of pollutants and thus improve the values. The aquarium water itself also becomes crystal clear again.

For optimal use, we recommend our filter media bags, which we carry in our store. Put the required amount of filter pumice in it and rinse it cold with clear water before first use to remove abrasion caused by transport. Then place the filter bag in the external filter of your aquarium or pond in a well flowed place, because the useful little helpers depend on a good oxygen supply. From time to time you should clean the pumice under cold running water and replace the bacteria rinsed off in the process with a suitable bacteria preparation such as our Natureholic Bacter Liquid.
