For more than 50 years, this water calyx has been cultivated in aquaristics. All Dennerle Cryptocorynen are cultivated above water in our greenhouses. As a rule, the leaves and growth behavior above and below water are extremely different. This is also the case with Cryptocoryne affinis. Only under water their typical olive green to brownish leaves appear. No higher demands are made on the lighting, the growth is optimal in slightly alkaline water. For cichlid aquariums with limestone, the C. affinis is highly recommended.
