Another beautifully colored Ludwigia is Ludwigia glandulosa. It already shows color aspects in emersed greenhouse culture with intense red stems. The upper and lower sides of the leaves are colored wine red in the submerged leaves. The species does not branch as much as other Ludwigias, so a stepped arrangement of the stems is especially recommended. Absolutely necessary is very good lighting and sufficient CO2 additions. In combination with light green plants this Ludwigia comes into its own best.
