GRNLO - Procambarus vase cave smooth - 14 cm

The vase cave for Procambarus crayfish, flattened at the bottom, is with 14 cm length optimally adapted to medium-sized aquarium crayfish and offers them a shapely home. Of course, it can also be used for larger fan shrimp or medium-sized large-armed shrimp. The dark brown color of the terracotta cave fits unobtrusively into almost any aquarium environment and looks very natural.

With the Procambarus Vase Cave you can offer a great hiding place especially to species of the genus Procambarus and also smaller Cherax crayfish. Monster fan shrimp also love to hide in caves and will also find a good hiding place here. If you keep fan shrimp in the aquarium, you should make sure that the vase cave with the opening is in the current. Especially after a moult, a cave is enormously important for crayfish and shrimp, but also otherwise many crayfish species like to live in a hiding place.

Thanks to its smooth surface and even shape, the Procambarus Vase Cave, which is closed at the back, can be perfectly planted with mosses or perching plants such as Bucephalandra, water ferns like Javafarn or even Anubias.

Since terracotta, i.e. fired ceramics, does not harden the water and offers pollutant-destroying bacteria an ideal surface to colonize, the vase cave indirectly contributes to an improvement in water quality. These bacteria are predominantly located in the biofilms, which incidentally even provide a particularly species-appropriate and natural grazing opportunity for shrimp, snails and crayfish.
