With its brown, mottled leaves on the surface and characteristic burgundy color on the underside, Hygrophila pinnatifida is a guaranteed eye-catcher. Growth is moderate, with stems growing 15-40 inches tall and 10-20 inches wide, and the color is attractive when planted in small groups against a solid-colored background. For a more "bushy" growth, it is recommended to trim the stems.
