JBL PROTEMP CoolControl 12V

With the JBL ProTemp Cool Control thermostat you can easily control cooling fans for aquariums between 1- 50 watts.
The water temperature in the aquarium depends on two important factors. Not only the room temperature plays a role, but also the solar radiation. If the rough temperature rises noticeably in summer, the water temperature in the aquarium should be checked more frequently. Ideal is 24 to 26 °C, it becomes problematic from approx. 30 °C, whereby even water plants can be damaged. Above all, an aquarium should never be exposed to direct sunlight, because the oxygen in the water dissolves less easily the warmer it is. A lack of oxygen is easily recognized by fish that swim across the water surface with their mouths open and gasp for air. In this case, you should react immediately, because this energy-sapping act can possibly lead to death. Plants that have been kept too warm for too long will also gradually dissolve, discolor and rot.

The JBL ProTemp Cool Control connects to the cooling fan and sensor in a snap, and the power supply connects to the power. Settings between 18-36 ° C allows the selection dial and also has a function control diode and a probe for water temperature. Automatic, manual or OFF can be easily set via the switch. Via the cooling fan's power supply unit, the operating voltage is 12 V DC.

With the help of fans, the JBL Cooler cool down the aquarium water by 2-4 °C. Warm water evaporates through the fan on the water surface and thus creates cold.
