The water quality in the aquarium is significantly influenced by metabolic products. Above all, biological products that are produced during decomposition, including fish excretions, but also uneaten food remains. Dead plant parts also play a major role. With Symec filter wadding from JBL you can solve the problem and easily counteract water deterioration, which is crucial for the biological balance and health of your animals.

The filter wadding is placed in the aquarium filter and then removes the smallest particles from the water, which are produced for example during work in the aquarium. Loose algae residues can also be removed. Because coarse debris could clog the wadding, it should only be placed loosely in the filter in second or third place.

If the water flow decreases noticeably, the filter wadding should be replaced. Washing out only compacts the fibers and adversely affects the filter result, so it should be replaced completely. The pollutant-free synthetic fibers can be used in the aquarium without hesitation. Because a large amount of bacteria is always lost when replacing them, you should replace them afterwards.
