Knife stone - aquarium stone / rock

Knife stones are gray and relatively sharp-edged. These interestingly textured stones originate from China and are ideal for aquarium decorations. Knife stones usually break rather narrowly and often taper off rather sharply at the top. Their surface shows some texture, but overall is more or less smooth and plain.

Knife stones are ideally suited for Asian-style aquarium layouts. For a Far Eastern atmosphere, just a few Knife Stones are enough. With a few stones and a few plants, you can create a graceful, Far Eastern atmosphere. But dramatic compositions with many stones and iwagumi layouts are also possible.

Knife stones contain some lime and can slightly harden soft water in the aquarium.
