Lake mountains - aquarium stone / rock

The stones of the Seegebirge could hardly be more different. Between granite gray and light clay-colored, they are interspersed in places with filigree white lines, which gives the angular and deeply furrowed mountains a very special look. Thereby the sea mountains are purely natural and are suitable prima for its use under water, but of course also in the terrarium. Especially on a dark substrate it looks great.

Denitrifying microorganisms settle on the fissured surface in no time, which effectively contribute to the decomposition of pollutants and help to improve the water values through their cleaning work. Shrimps in particular like to nibble down this biofilm, so you will soon be able to welcome your first top-dwellers to the lake mountains.

With small perching plants like Anubias, Bucephalandra but also with small ferns the sea mountains can be planted. Supplemented with Mosses you can create great eye-catchers. Especially young shrimps love to hide between the fine shoots.
