Marsilea hirsuta - Dennerle InVitro

Marsilea hirsuta belongs to the clover fern family and is native to Australia. Due to its small growth size, it is also called dwarf clover fern. In marsh conditions out of water the plant forms small cloverleaf-shaped leaflets, under water it usually forms egg-shaped leaflets that strongly resemble the Glossostigma plant. However, the dwarf clover fern is significantly easier to cultivate and particularly easy to care for. It takes some time for the plant to become accustomed to the aquarium, but gradually an attractive plant carpet is formed. Ideally, the emersed shoots should be cut off completely before planting, and gradually the new submerged shoots will form.
