Micranthemum Monte Carlo - NatureHolic InVitro

Coming to us from South America, Montecarlo Pearlwort Micranthemum sp. "Montecarlo" is a beautiful, relatively robust and frugal groundcover. Its rounded leaflets are a bright light green, and the branched shoots of this stem plant grow relatively long but prostrate, so they quickly form a great dense carpet in the foreground.

Micranthemum sp. "Montecarlo" does not grow very tall at 5-7 cm. If the carpet becomes too thick, the plant can be cut back vigorously. The cut shoots can be replanted, so as with all stem plants, propagation in the aquarium is not difficult. For planting, it is best to stick several stems as a bundle into the substrate, leaving a few centimeters of space between the individual bundles. The medium fast growing plant closes the gaps relatively quickly, and you will soon have a beautiful green carpet in the foreground of the aquarium.

This Montecarlo Pearlwort was grown in InVitro culture in the lab, it has no bystanders like snails or worms, nor has it ever come into contact with pesticides - a huge advantage if you want to put it in a shrimp aquarium.
