With its feathery shoots, the Guyana milfoil looks particularly delicate in the aquarium. Especially shrimps like to hide in it during their vital moulting phase. Myriophyllum sp. "Guyana" originates from South America and has not been known in the hobby for too long and is therefore not yet fully described. It is not too often available in the trade and is therefore considered a rarity. Due to its easy care and fast growth, the milfoil is also well suited for newly set up aquariums.
The Guyana Milfoil can be pruned easily and forms branched side shoots, which make it grow bushier together. The cut stems can easily be replanted in the ground, making it easy to compact and propagate existing stands. The stems reach a height of about 20 cm, which makes the plant also great in the foreground or middle ground.
In vitro plants like Myriophyllum sp. "guyana" are characterized by their sterile culture. Therefore, they do not bring pests such as snails or planaria and are also free of algae, germs or bacteria. Before planting, simply rinse down the nutrient gel so that the roots are exposed and then place the shoots in the substrate.
