Black Nature Soil is an ideal substrate for the care of plants, shrimp, fish and is particularly suitable for soft water aquariums. Its special properties have a stabilizing effect on the pH value, also the total and carbonate hardnesses are reduced. Especially for aquascaping or plant aquariums, Nature Soil is particularly well suited.

The pre-fertilized long-term substrate is stable in its form and does not decompose. It also supports the oxygen supply of plant roots, as it does not compact as with sand, for example. This means that it also provides a secure hold for strong roots. The large porous surface also provides an ideal settlement point for useful filter bacteria, so that the substrate also acts as a filter medium and maintains the biological balance in the aquarium. To prevent the Soil from churning up and clouding the water, it is best not to use it for fish.

We recommend using the Soil at a height of 4-5 cm and piling it up a little higher towards the back, no other nutrient substrates are necessary. The Nature Soil should not be washed out before use and can be planted after placement. To insert the plants, tweezers are suitable, which we also carry in the store. So that the Soil does not swirl up during filling, it is helpful to let the water run in over a plate that is placed on the substrate.
