NatureHolic 's instant-action liquid iron booster is an iron-rich liquid fertilizer for aquascaping and all planted aquariums. It provides all aquarium plants with the important micronutrient iron (Fe), other trace elements and the macronutrient potassium.

Iron is needed by our aquarium plants to form their green leaf pigment chlorophyll. If the aquarium plants have too little iron, the leaves appear dull and pale, and in severe deficiency situations, chlorosis even occurs. In iron chlorosis, the leaf tissue becomes yellowish, and only the leaf veins stand out green. The new shoots appear bleached, whitish, yellowish or dull pink. Because the plants cannot produce energy through photosynthesis without green leaves, the growth of aquarium plants is very poor in the case of an iron deficiency. If there are nutrient gaps in the aquarium, the algae like to use these for themselves. If the plants in the aquarium do not grow properly, an iron deficiency in the aquarium sometimes manifests itself as an algae plague.

The NatureHolic Iron Booster as an iron fertilizer for the aquarium lets the leaf colors of red and green aquarium plants in the aquascape really shine, and the plants in the aquarium grow healthy and vigorous bushy again. It provides the plants with other important trace elements for healthy growth: manganese, zinc, boron, molybdenum and 0.002% copper. These nutrients are stabilized in such a way that they are absolutely harmless for fish and invertebrates, even for sensitive shrimps, in the aquarium when used in the correct dose and are available to the plants unhindered and even over a long period of time. Dosage: NatureHolic Iron Booster is dosed depending on the lighting level in the aquarium. It is best to add the iron fertilizer daily. A weekly fertilization is also possible, but because the aquarium plants respond better to a rather constant iron supply, we recommend the daily fertilization.

Aquariums with strong light and with CO2 fertilization receive 2 ml Iron Booster per 100 liters per day, without CO2 supply 1 ml. Aquariums with medium strong light with CO2 fertil ization receive 1 ml, without CO2 supply 0.6 ml. Low light aquariums do well with CO2 fertilization with 0.6 ml, without CO2 supply with 0.4 ml Iron Booster.

These dosage recommendations are only guidelines and can be adjusted individually to the aquarium at any time. If the iron value in the aquarium increases too much or if red algae (brush algae, beard algae) spread, the fertilizer quantity should be reduced. The water values should be checked regularly with a high-quality water test for aquaristics. We recommend a weekly water change of approx. 25-70% to avoid nutrient peaks in the aquascape.

Number 4: Phosphate fertilizer

NatureHolic 's instant-action liquid phosphate booster is an aquarium fertilizer for aquascaping and all planted aquariums. Plants need the important macronutrient phosphate (P) for their cellular respiration and energy transfer. Aquarium plants also need phosphorus to build up their cell material.

A lack of phosphate can be recognized in aquarium plants by stunted growth and a darker coloration of the leaf tissue. This is due to the fact that sufficient chlorophyll is still produced, but the leaf area shrinks. Leaf loss, especially of older leaves, may also indicate a phosphorus deficiency in the aquarium.

If nutrient gaps develop in the aquarium, these are preferentially used by algae for strong reproduction. If the aquatic plants in the aquascape no longer grow vital due to a phosphate deficiency, it can therefore lead to an algae plague in the aquarium.

With the NatureHolic Phosphate Booster phosphate fertilizer for the aquarium, the plants can grow properly again and fully develop their new leaves. The leaf tissue becomes stronger, the growth vital again. Low light aquariums do well with CO2 fertil ization with 0.5 ml, without CO2 supply with 0.1 ml Phosphate Booster.

Please note: These dosage recommendations are guideline values, which should be individually adjusted to the aquarium upwards or downwards if necessary . If the phosphate value in the aquarium increases too much according to the water test, the fertilizer quantity should be reduced accordingly. A target value of approx. 0.1-0.4 mg phosphate per liter aquarium water should be reached after fertilization. We recommend performing a weekly water change of approx. 25-70% in the aquarium, so that no nutrient peaks form in the aquarium water, which can promote the formation of algae.

Number 5: Magnesium fertilizer

NatureHolic Magnesium Booster with immediate effect is a liquid aquarium fertilizer containing magnesium for plant aquaristics and especially for aquascaping. The important plant nutrient magnesium (Mg) plays an important role in the photosynthesis of aquarium plants: the central atom of chlorophyll is magnesium. The plant also needs magnesium for the formation of plant tissue and for many metabolic functions.

A magnesium deficiency is similar to an iron deficiency: pale leaf colors and chlorosis occur - that is, the leaf veins remain green, while the rest of the leaf turns yellow. In the case of a magnesium def iciency, the chloroses first appear on the older leaves of the aquarium plants.
Nutrient gaps in the aquarium are mainly exploited by annoying algae: Therefore, if aquatic plants in the aquarium do not grow well due to a lack of nutrients, a weak to strong algae plague may result.

Number 6: Potassium Fertilizer

NatureHolic Instant Potassium Booster liquid is an aquarium fertilizer containing potassium for aquascaping and all planted aqu ariums. The important macronutrient potassium (K) is needed by aquarium plants to regulate their water balance and thus the nutrient transport in the plants.

A deficiency of potassium manifests itself in black dot-shaped necroses in the leaf tissue, which later become holes. A potassium deficiency is particularly noticeable in java ferns. Here, entire leaf parts first turn yellow, then black, and then the leaf falls off. If the plant does not have sufficient potassium available, it usually also grows poorly and generally does not appear vital.

Nutrient gaps in the aquarium are readily exploited by algae. If the aquatic plants in the aquarium can no longer grow properly due to a lack of the important macronutrient potassium, an algae plague can result.
