NatureHolic - K Booster - liquid potassium aquarium fertilizer

The liquid NatureHolic Potassium Booster with immediate effect is a potassium-containing aquarium fertilizer for aquascaping and for all planted aquariums. The important macronutrient potassium (K) is needed by aquarium plants to regulate their water balance and thus the nutrient transport in the plants.

A deficiency of potassium manifests itself in black dot-shaped necroses in the leaf tissue, which later become holes. A potassium deficiency is particularly noticeable in java ferns. Here, entire leaf parts first turn yellow, then black, and then the leaf falls off. If the plant does not have sufficient potassium available, it usually also grows poorly and generally does not appear vital.

Nutrient gaps in the aquarium are readily exploited by algae. If the aquatic plants in the aquarium can no longer grow properly due to a lack of the important macronutrient potassium, an algae plague can result.

With the NatureHolic Potassium Booster potassium fertilizer for the aquarium, the plants grow well again, the new leaves no longer have yellow or black spots, the leaf tissue looks stronger. Dosage: NatureHolic Potassium Booster is added either daily or as a shock fertilization once a week after the water change. Then the daily fertil ization is extrapolated accordingly to seven days.

Aquariums with strong light and with CO2 fertilization receive 2 ml of Potassium Booster per 100 liters per day, without CO2 supply 0.5 ml. Aquariums with medium strong light with CO2 fertil ization receive 1 ml, without CO2 supply 0.25 ml. Low light aquariums do well with CO2 fertilization with 0.5 ml, without CO2 supply with 0.1 ml Potassium Booster.

These dosage recommendations are guidelines; if necessary, please adjust upwards or downwards  individually to the aquarium! If the potassium value in the aquarium increases too much, the fertilizer quantity is reduced accordingly. A target value of approx. 10-15 mg potassium per liter aquarium water should be aimed at. A good water test for aquaristics helps to monitor the potassium value in the aquarium. We recommend a weekly water change of about 25-70% to prevent nutrient peaks from forming in the aquascape, which can promote algae.
