The important nutrient for aquarium plants carbon can be easily introduced into the aquarium by fertilizing with gaseous CO2 and is directly available to the plants thanks to its good solubility in the aquarium water. Aquarium plants need CO2 to build up their tissue, they cannot grow vigorously and healthily without carbon. A CO2 deficiency in the aquarium is often the cause of algae plagues, poor plant growth, caring aquarium plants and pale colors.
Perfect is our NatureHolic Sodastream CO2 fertilizer system for nano aquariums to large aqu ariums - in very large tanks, the bottle is correspondingly faster empty, hangs the Sodastream CO2 fertilizer system on a rather small aquascape, the CO2 supply in the gas cylinder lasts of course correspondingly longer. For 60 liters, we recommend adding one bubble per second for a duration of 8 hours per day. One Sodastream bottle contains 425 g of CO2.
In the Sodastream cartridges, the CO2 is under high pressure. The special Sodastream pressure reducer lowers the bottle pressure to the recommended low working pressure so that the aquarium is reliably supplied with CO2. The Sodastream pressure reducer for CO2 Sodastream bottles is simply screwed onto the CO2 cartridge.
On the two pressure gauges on the pressure reducer from NatureHolic you can read the working pressure and the bottle pressure and thus deduce how much CO2 is still in the bottle. The working pressure can be precisely adjusted and monitored. The hose connection is secured against slippingwith a union nut.
The amount of CO2 needed by the aquarium plants in the planted aquarium and aquascape is precisely adjusted on our high-precision NatureHolic Sodastream pressure reducer with a fine needle valve. We recommend the use of an optional bubble counter and a CO2 duration test, also optionally available, in the aquarium for accurate dosing.
Tip: Connecting the CO2 hose to the NatureHolic Sodastream pressure reducer is easier if you briefly heat the end of the hose in hot water. This makes the hose more flexible and it is easier to push it onto the connection on the CO2 pressure reducer.
