Hemianthus micranthemoides originated in North America. It has small curved leaves that resemble a miniature edition of Egeria. The stems quickly grow to 10-20 cm tall and 2-3 cm wide. It has a creeping habit in high light levels, so it can be used as a foreground plant. It is very pretty in a dense group with its small light green leaves. In terrariums it forms a dense cushion of plants. Formerly called Micranthemum micranthemoides.
