The fast dissolving chloride and sodium reduced Greenscaping Osmo Royal Caridina - Aufhärtesalz for remineralization of osmosis water was specially developed for Caridina shrimps from soft water habitats : for bee shrimps, tiger shrimps, Caridina cantonensis, Caridina serrata, Caridina hybrids, Taiwan shrimps, Taiwan Bees and other Caridina that need soft water in the aquarium. Greenscaping Osmo Royal Caridina Hardening Salt enriches the water in the aquarium with all important minerals.

After several years of intensive research in the field of biochemistry, Greenscaping has succeeded in developing a Caridina hardening salt with reduced sodium and chloride content . The reason: aquarium plants often react quite sensitively to high concentrations of sodium and chloride in the aquarium water. Concentrations as low as 50 mg/l NaCl can cause damage and slower growth in sensitive plants. More robust plants then show these symptoms at concentrations of 100 mg/l NaCl and above. With conventional hardening salts, sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium chloride or magnesium chloride are usually used in considerable quantities, therefore sodium ions and chloride ions are present in the aquarium water in large quantities when used. Thus, the critical threshold values are quickly reached!

Greenscaping Osmo Royal Caridina Hardening Salt does not affect plant growth, even at high doses, thanks to its modified formula. In close cooperation with experienced product testers, the salts were then further improved and fine-tuned. The formula for Osmo Royal Caridina hardening salt was adjusted to raise the magnesium content in the aquarium water to 10 mg/l - for better plant growth. The calcium-magnesium-potassium ratio in Osmo Royal Caridina Aufhärtesalz of 2:1:0.5 has proven to be the best ratio in the plant sector.

The Greenscaping Osmo Royal Caridina hardening salt is Made in Germany. Of course, only mineral salts of the highest quality are used for the Caridina hardening salt. The salt dissolves quickly and cleanly and offers the highest safety. The mineral hardening salt for soft water Caridina has been thoroughly tested for over 1 year in two of the largest invertebrate facilities in Germany as well as by well-known aquascapers.

Osmo Royal Caridina Hardening Salt increases the total hardness (GH) and the carbonate hardness (KH) in the ratio GH/KH: 1/0.2. A low carbonate hardness is important so that especially Caridina shrimps from soft water habitats feel well, and the strong reduction of the content of sodium and chloride is beneficial to the health of aquarium plants in the aquascape and plant aquarium.

Dosage: The source water (osmosis water, demineralized water from the demineralizer, filtered rainwater, ...) is remineralized with Osmo Royal Caridina hardening salt. 10 g per 100 l increase the carbonate hardness by 0.7 °dKH and the total hardness by 3.5 °dGH. One level teaspoon corresponds to approximately 5 g. Optimal target values for Caridina shrimp are: 1 °dKH, 5 °dGH and 200 + /- 50 µS/cm.
