With the Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Basic hardening salt you increase both the total hardness and the carbonate hardness in the water of your aquarium and ensure natural water values. Thanks to its greatly reduced chloride and sodium content, this salt for remineralizing osmosis water, deionized water, rainwater or very soft tap water is particularly plant-friendly. With Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Basic Hardening Salt you also add important minerals and trace elements to your aquarium water.

Several years of thorough research by biochemists led to this radical new concept and resulted in Greenscaping GH/KH+ Hardening Salt - a mineral salt with significantly reduced levels of sodium and chloride, which increases carbonate hardness as well as total hardness. Why the omission of Na and Cl? Many aquarium plants do not like high concentrations of these substances in aquarium water - in sensitive aquatic plants, as little as 50 mg/l NaCl is enough to slow their growth and even cause tissue damage. In more robust aquarium plants, the damage occurs from concentrations of 100 mg/l NaCl in the aquarium water.

Conventional hardening salts for osmosis water very often contain a lot of sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium chloride or magnesium chloride. These salts bring a lot of sodium ions and chloride ions into the aquarium water, which is why the critical threshold values are unfortunately reached very quickly - this is particularly unfavorable for plant aquariums and in aquascapes.

With the Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Basic hardening salt with the modified formula, the parameters sodium and chloride in the aquarium are not significantly increased even in high dosages and plant growth remains unaffected. Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Basic Hardening Salt was further refined and improved after the development phase in close cooperation with experienced aquascapers and reliable product testers. The hardening salt was then put through its paces for over 12 months in two of the largest aquarium facilities for invertebrates in Germany.

The Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Basic hardening salt is Made in Germany and is produced exclusively from mineral salts of the highest quality - for more safety in use. With this mineral salt you can harden osmosis water, deionized water, filtered rainwater or too soft tap water quickly and easily thanks to its excellent solubility.

Dosage: The source water (osmosis water, demineralized water from the demineralizer, filtered rainwater, aquarium water with a too low carbonate hardness ...) is hardened with Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Basic Hardening Salt. The total hardness (GH) and the carbonate hardness (KH) are raised in a ratio of 2:1. 10 g per 100 l increase the carbonate hardness by 1.5 °dKH, the total hardness by 3 °dGH. One level teaspoon corresponds to about 5 g. The optimum target values (depending on the requirements of the fish and invertebrates in the aquarium) for neutral aquarium water are 5 °dKH, 10 °dGH and a conductance of about 400 + /- 50 µS/cm.
