With the Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K hardening salt, the developer has created a very safe and plant-friendly hardening salt for freshwater aquariums, with which you can increase both the total hardness and the carbonate hardness in the water of your aquarium - for water values that are close to natural and biotope-friendly. Because potassium is suspected of promoting algae plagues, Greenscaping offers Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K, a potassium-free hardening salt, in response to many customer requests.

With the Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K hardening salt you also add important minerals and trace elements to the water of your aquarium. The calcium to magnesium ratio of 2:1 in Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH Zero K is considered ideal for all aquarium plants.
Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K is not only potassium-free, it also has a greatly reduced chloride and sodium content. This makes the salt for remineralization of osmosis water, deionized water, rainwater or very soft tap water particularly plant-friendly: Many aquarium plants are namely at high concentrations of chloride and sodium in the aquarium water care.

Sensitive aquatic plants can suffer tissue damage from as little as 50 mg/l NaCl; their growth is significantly slowed. In the case of more robust aquarium plants, the first damage becomes visible from a concentration of 100 mg/l NaCl in the aquarium water - and the main components of conventional hardening salts for osmosis water are often sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium chloride or magnesium chloride. This means that a large number of sodium ions and chloride ions enter the aquarium water during the salting process, and the critical threshold values are quickly reached. This is particularly unfavorable in plant aquariums and aquascapes.

Biochemists have spent several years researching Greenscaping's radical new concept, and they have succeeded in developing Greenscaping GH/KH+ Hardening Salt, a potassium-free mineral salt with a significantly reduced sodium and chloride content. Even in high dosages, this hardening salt for osmosis water does not significantly increase the sodium and chloride parameters in the aquarium - plant growth is not affected. After the development phase, Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K Hardening Salt was tested and further refined and improved by experienced aquascapers and reliable product testers. In the final stage, the potassium-free hardening salt was put through its paces for over 12 months in two of the largest aquarium facilities for invertebrates in Germany.

The Greenscaping Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K hardening salt is Made in Germany and is produced exclusively from mineral salts of the highest quality - it ensures more safety and more ease of use. With this excellently soluble potassium-free mineral salt you can quickly and easily harden osmosis water, deionized water, filtered rainwater or tap water that is too soft.

Dosage: The source water (osmosis water, demineralized water from demineralizer, filtered rainwater, aquarium water with too low carbonate hardness ...) is remineralized with Osmo Royal GH/KH+ Zero K hardening salt. The total hardness (GH) and the carbonate hardness (KH) are raised in a ratio of 2:1. 10 g per 100 l increase the carbonate hardness by 1.4 °dKH, the total hardness by 3 °dGH. One level teaspoon corresponds to about 5 g. The optimum target values (depending on the requirements of the fish and invertebrates in the aquarium) for neutral aquarium water are 5 °dKH, 10 °dGH and a conductance of about 400 + /- 50 µS/cm.
