The fast dissolving Greenscaping Osmo Royal KH+ Basic hardening salt has a strongly reduced content of chloride and sodium. This special salt for aquaristics specifically raises the carbonate hardness of your aquarium water; you can also use the mineral salt to specifically harden osmosis water. The Greenscaping Osmo Royal KH+ Basic hardening salt also adds important minerals to the aquarium water. To affect only the carbonate hardness, Greenscaping Osmo Royal KH+ Basic Hardening Salt is completely free of magnesium and calcium. Thus, the total hardness remains unaffected.

After years of persistent research, biochemists developed a new concept for Greenscaping KH+ Hardening Salt - a mineral salt with a significantly reduced content of sodium and chloride. Many aquarium plants are sensitive to high concentrations of sodium and chloride in aquarium water - in sensitive aquatic plants, as little as 50 mg/l NaCl is enough to cause slower growth and even tissue damage, and in more robust aquarium plants, concentrations of 100 mg/l NaCl and higher.

The problem with conventional hardening salts is that they very often have a high content of sodium hydrogen carbonate and calcium chloride or magnesium chloride. These salts cause a lot of sodium ions and chloride ions to enter the aquarium water, and the critical threshold values are thus quickly reached. Very unfavorable in plant aquariums and in aquascapes.

The Greenscaping Osmo Royal KH+ Basic hardening salt has a modified formula and even in high dosages does not increase the parameters sodium and chloride in the aquarium in such a way that plant growth would be impaired. Greenscaping Osmo Royal KH+ Basic Aufhärtesalz was further refined and improved in close cooperation with experienced aquascapers and long-time product testers after development and put through its paces for over 12 months in two of Germany's largest invertebrate aquarium facilities.

The KH+ salt is especially interesting for all aquariums in which the KH is not high enough to avoid an acid crash. The KH should be at least 3 to 5 to prevent this. An exception is all aquarium animals that come from habitats with soft water without carbonate hardness - here you should use this mineral salt only carefully.

Greenscaping Osmo Royal KH+ Basic Hardening Salt is Made in Germany and is produced exclusively from mineral salts of the highest quality. The salt is used to remineralize osmosis water, deionized water, filtered rainwater or too soft tap water. It offers the highest safety and dissolves quickly and cleanly in the water of the aquarium.

Dosage: The source water (osmosis water, demineralized water from demineralizer, filtered rainwater, aquarium water with too low carbonate hardness ...) is remineralized with Osmo Royal KH+ Basic Hardening Salt. Only the carbonate hardness (KH) is raised, the total hardness (GH) remains unaffected. 10 g per 100 l increase the carbonate hardness by 3.4 °dKH. One level teaspoon corresponds to approximately 5 g. The optimal target value for carbonate hardness in aquarium water is 5 °dKH(depending on the requirements of the fish and invertebrates in the aquarium) and a conductance of about 400 + /- 50 µS/cm.
