Micranthemum umbrosum is a petite aquarium plant from the USA. Its roundish leaflets grow to about ½ centimeter in size and are bright light green in color. A typically light-hungry plant, it does not like temperatures that are too high. Like Hemianthus micranthemoides, it can be easily trimmed into shape with sharp scissors. Pearlwort is well suited for Nano Cubes, especially if the miniature aquarium is operated without a heater.
