Plant pad - Dennerle

Eleocharis acicularis

The needle lime Eleocharis acicularis is widespread all over the world. It is a particularly graceful, grass-like plant for the foreground. It prefers cooler water, but still grows satisfactorily at higher temperatures. A dense plant carpet is gradually formed by stolon shoots. When planting emers cultivated plants, it is recommended to prune completely and divide the plant cushion. Every 5 cm the cut rootstocks are inserted. Already after a few days the first submerged grass blades sprout.

Lilaeopsis brasiliensis

A decorative foreground plant is Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. In its natural habitat, it colonizes the banks of rivers and swamps up to elevations of more than 1,000 m. Its grass-like character is similar to Helanthium tenellum, therefore it is sometimes called "false tenellus". It is easy to cultivate in the aquarium, prefers cooler water, and grows quite slowly, regardless of whether the water is soft or hard. Vigorous pruning, as with a lawn, promotes compact growth.

Micranthemum tweediei

A new and promising foreground plant is Micranthemum tweediei. Unlike known M. umbrosum, this plant does not grow upright, but as a cushion creeping on the ground. Therefore, this novelty is a very good alternative to Hemianthus callitrichoides 'Cuba' with significantly better growth characteristics. The new pearlwort is especially suitable for aquascaping and nano cubes.

Our recommendation: For magnificent plant growth, we recommend the use of the NatureHolic fertilizer series and for the new setup the premium nutrient medium NatureHolic GroundBooster.

Expert Tip: With the NatureHolic plant glue you can glue this plant gently and easily to stones, roots and decoration . Made in Germany, the adhesive does not pollute the water and has no negative impact on the stocking.
