This plant has been scientifically determined for a long time, but was "discovered" for aquaristics only a few years ago. With its very decorative, strongly curled leaf edges, it is probably one of the most beautiful foreground plants. At first sight one thinks of a rosette plant, but it is a strongly compressed stem plant. If some basic culture conditions are met, Pogostemon helferi forms beautiful plant cushions: good to intense lighting, temperatures around 25 °C, medium hard water. Under these conditions, its leaf color is rich green.
