River Mosswort - Mayaca fluviatilis - Tropica Ceramic Ring
Mayca fluviatilis is a stem plant from South and Central America. The stem is particularly soft and flexible, giving the plants a light and graceful expression in addition to the very narrow, light green leaves. Mayaca fluviatilis likes to branch out and the rapid growth makes regular pruning necessary. This plant prefers soft, slightly acidic water, but also does well in medium-hard water. Mayca fluviatilis is known to get very pale shoots when it lacks iron.
Stems or very young plants are bunched together with an anchor. Remove the anchor and divide the individual plants. When planting stems, the leaves of the lowest 5 cm on each stem must be removed as well as any damaged leaves. The individual plants are planted in the substrate with adequate spacing. The plant will quickly form roots and begin to grow.
