Root Drift Wood

With its wonderful dark brown color, the Root Drift Wood is a great root piece with which excellent the aquarium or terrarium can be designed. Our Root Drift Wood is imported from Africa and is very heavy - therefore it does not need to be pre-watered and sinks immediately. Thanks to the great color it forms a great contrast, especially in great planted aquariums, but also in combination with the colors of the aquarium animals.

The Root Drift Wood is available in 3 sizes:

Size S: 10-18x7-10 cm (LxW)

Size M: 19-23x17-10 cm (LxW)

Size L: 23-29x10-15 cm (LxW)

It is ideally suited for naturalistic design. Depending on the project, the Root Drift Woods can be stacked, nested or simply used as a cave and retreat. With a little skill, perching plants such as Anubias, Bucephalandra, Java ferns, but also different Mosses can be tied or glued on, which continue to grow on the root and thus create a very natural flair. On the large surface microorganisms settle, which are among the good cleaning bacteria. Shrimp, crayfish and snails eat these with abandon. Catfish also like to grate wood, as they need the cellulose fibers for their digestion.
