Shrimp trunk - hiding place for shrimp and crayfish in the aquarium

The lovingly handcrafted shrimp trunk is made of multi-fired clay and is explicitly designed for continuous use under water. The pretty motif is reminiscent of a real tree trunk. Especially the porous surface allows microorganisms to settle much faster and in higher numbers, as it is the case with other decorations. Even more so, new aquariums are ready to start more quickly, and fluctuations or changes in water quality are also more effectively cushioned. Invertebrates also eat this biofilm with abandon.

The different openings allow shrimp and dwarf crabs in the aquarium a great retreat and hiding place, because especially during their vital molting phase they are particularly vulnerable until their new shell has hardened. Among other things, this reduces their stress, as this is the main cause of disease. The special design is deburred all around and has no sharp and dangerous edges.
