With this great moss stone you can quickly and easily decorate your aquarium with a great splash of green! The moss has been growing on the lava stone in the Tropica nursery for quite some time and can therefore be inserted directly into your aquarium. Save yourself the hassle of tying or annoying gluing, simply place the moss stone in place or press it slightly into the substrate and create a great new design in no time! The lava stone from Tropica is usually between 10 and 20 cm in size and already covered with Java moss (Taxiphyllum barbieri).

The lava stone is a pure natural product, which behaves water neutral and does not release any substances into the water. On the porous surface, but also on the moss, useful cleaning bacteria soon settle, which actively contribute to the decomposition of harmful substances. Especially snails and shrimps love to nibble down this biofilm. This way you will get to see your treasures frequently.
 

Taxiphyllum barbieri originates from Southeast Asia and is frugal, making only low demands on water and light. Taxiphyllum barbieri grows willingly attached to all surfaces, so it is well suited for decorating stones or tree roots or for covering installations in the aquarium. The plant is fixed with a nylon cord until it grows tightly to the substrate. If it grows too much, it can be pruned with scissors.In breeding aquariums, Taxiphyllum barbieri, often called Java moss, is a fantastic hiding place for offspring.
