Fertilized female Orange Fire shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) carry their eggs under the abdomen. After three or four weeks, the animals release between 20 and 40 fully developed young shrimp. This way you get a large strain relatively quickly and broaden the genetic base of the group quite decisively. Orange Fire shrimp need an initial stocking of 10 to 15 shrimp as group animals.
