Utricularia graminifolia - Dennerle InVitro

Utricularia graminifolia belongs to the water hose family. This lush green foreground plant originates from very clean and nutrient-poor biotopes with soft water and comes from Southeast Asia. The Grass-like Water Hose forms dense cushions that grow to a maximum height of 5 cm and thus fit perfectly into the foreground. The plant reproduces by means of underground runners.

Utricularia graminifolia belongs to the carnivorous plants, but its tiny trap bladders are not dangerous for dwarf shrimp and even the very smallest shrimp offspring. The prey of the grass-like water shrimp is much smaller.

Take the portion out of the cup and carefully remove the nutrient gel under running water. Cut it into 6-8 pieces and it is best to use tweezers to insert the water hose into the foreground. Leave 1-5 cm of space between the portions. Please be careful not to squeeze the plant when inserting it! Alternatively, Utricularia graminifolia can also be tied up on roots or stones. Please light the Grass-like Water Hose only at half intensity during the first two weeks to help it acclimate.
