from over 3,000 reviews "Water fleas are small crustaceans that spend their whole life in the water. They reproduce very well and can be bred perfectly. Their high fiber content due to their chitinous shell makes them a particularly valuable live food for aquarium fish and crustaceans such as shrimp, crabs and crayfish. Since the nutrient content of Daphnia is not high, it is practically impossible to overfeed aquarium animals with it.
Besides a lot of fiber, little protein and very little fat, daphnia contain vitamin A and B2. They are not suitable as a complete food, but for example as a diet food instead of a fasting day and as a snack for in between they are perfect!
If you want to feed the contents of the live food bags with the water fleas soon, please store them in the refrigerator. If you want to continue a breeding stock, this is of course also very good! For this you only need a slightly larger bucket or other container and water. Feed with dry yeast, spirulina powder and similar. The container can be placed at room temperature, and free-range keeping is also possible.
