Suction cups are indispensable in the aquarium - not only filters are attached to the aquarium pane with them, but also heating rods, thermometers, bubble counters in the CO2 system, you can attach tubing and piping to the aquarium with suction cups, attach bubbling stones and air hoses with them and so on and so forth.

You will find the right solution for every application to buy here in the online store: star suction cups for fixing heating rods in the aquarium, hole suction cups with different sized holes for thermometers, slotted suction cups for heating cables, suction cups with clips, double suction cups / dual suction cups, also for aquarium heaters, and of course universal suction cups that fit almost everything.

In addition to the classic applications of suction holders and suction cups (i.e., filter attachment and attachment of all sorts of other technical aquarium accessories like heater rods, heater cables, and so on) is the attachment of roots to the glass. With roots you can easily create more space in the aquarium - especially in tanks where rather surface-bound inhabitants like snails, shrimps or crayfish live, which need little or no swimming space in the aquarium, you can optimally create new perching possibilities with roots, which are gladly accepted. This can be done particularly elegantly with suction roots, which can be attached to the aquarium pane at various heights with the help of a suction cup. They can either be attached with a clip sucker (if the size of the clip fits the root branch, tie it with nylon thread to a sucker with a hole, or drill a stainless steel screw with a flat head through the sucker and the root, so that the screw head then comes to rest on the aquarium pane. Turn well into the root, so that he has no contact with the aquarium glass and so that it does not come to scratches!

Such a suction cup root can be beautifully planted with moss or perching plants, which again provides a great jungle effect in the aquarium and is very enthusiastically accepted by shrimps.

Suction cups hold best when the aquarium pane has been cleaned really clean and there are no more deposits between the sucker and the glass. Rub the dry pane briefly clean with isopropanol (alcohol) (for example when changing the water ) before attaching the suction cup to the pane.

Suction cups that have become hard can be briefly thrown into boiling water, then they will soften again and adhere better. However, over time, the plasticizer escapes from the PVC of the suction cups and at some point they are then no longer flexible enough and no longer stick. Then you can find here in the online store to buy replacement suction cups.
