Callicostella Pancuraji - 5x5cm Soilpad - GrowCap

Callicostella pancuraji is relatively new to the hobby and still a bit of a rarity in the trade. "Callicostelle" means "beautiful rib" and refers to the appearance. Like Bucephalandra motleyana "Pancuraji" it originates from the same habitat of Borneo and was once found by chance on this very plant and thereupon actively propagated. In the aquarium great effects can be conjured up with this moss, even shrimps like to use it as a playground.

The moss grows upright and forms hanging shoots from a certain length. These become up to 10 cm long and 2.5 cm wide. With rhizomes they attach themselves to the hardscape like roots or stones. They can be propagated by plucking. Gluing or tying them on is equally suitable.

This moss is already fixed on a Soilpad with 5 x 5 cm and can be decorated immediately in the aquarium.

Visually, the Callicostella pancuraji also resembles other mosses at first glance, but the C. pancuraj differs by its small pointed leaves and a narrower leaf spacing. In the aquarium it is very easy to maintain and forgives quite the one or other faux pas. However, regular nutrient application promotes the great light green color and also the growth.
