Rotting plant remains, but also fish food that has been left lying around and, last but not least, the excrement of the animals being cared for represent a pollutant load in the aquarium that can ultimately affect the water quality. Also, fish that are grazing more often stir up small clouds of dirt that are caught by the filter, but cause the water to become cloudy. With our universal filter wadding, you can solve this problem in no time. The water-neutral filter fl oss is perfectly suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and does not release any substances into the water.

The fine filter wadding should be placed in the filter as the last filter stage. Coarse dirt should already be collected by other media, so that these do not clog the wadding and thus hinder the water flow. Small dirt particles, but also turbid matter, are effectively filtered out by the fine filter wadding - clean water enters the aquarium, ensuring a crystal clear view!

To keep the water quality permanently optimal, the fine filter wadding should be replaced occasionally - like all filter media. However, when replacing the filter media, never change them all at the same time, but rather stagger them over a period of time, as there are a number of bacteria in the filter in particular that contribute highly efficiently to the breakdown of pollutants. We also recommend the use of a bacteria preparation such as our Crusta Bacter Liquid, which we carry in our store.

Tip: By the way, the fine filter wadding is also perfectly suitable for easily removing loose deposits on panes, plant leaves or decorations!
